How It Works – Bit by Bit

While Transmission Path Operates as Usual

ENCODING

On the transmitter side, DCRE (DigitCode Encoding Component) encodes the user data, passes the encrypted data to the service provider's converter, which in turn converts the encrypted data into transmittable signals according to existing standards and forwards it to the transmitting station.

TRANSMISSION PATH

The transmission path, -Infrastructure and -protocols operate as usual and do not have to be changed due to the integration of the DCRE procedure. Here in the transmission path, errors can affect the transmitted data, which will require error correction to receive 100% correct data.

This means that the connection between transmitter and receiver is established according to known, existing international standards and independently of DCRE. Once the connections are established, the encoded data can be transmitted, also according to the existing standards and protocols.

Protection against bit-flipping up to 25% within the air link.

All, a huge advantage in the introduction/marketing of the "SP modules" that have DCRE/DCRS integrated.

DECODING

On the receiver side, DCRD (DigitCode Decoding Component) decodes the transmitted data using its patented process. In this step, bit errors occurring during transmission are detected and up to 25% of the errors occurring in a DCRE codeword of length of n-bits are corrected.

Bit errors within a data stream are detected, unlike today's FEC methods, which regularly fail to detect errors.

DCRD informs the user if a bit is OK or if there are errors/bit-flips that have been detected but could not be corrected. This avoids the risk of processing erroneous data on the user side without knowing it.

A considerable quality improvement with cost- and damage-reducing effect.
